Tooth-Colored Composite Fillings

At Evergreen Dental, we use tooth-colored composite resin fillings as our standard of care. Unlike traditional silver amalgam fillings, composite fillings are:

Natural-Looking

Matched precisely to the shade of your natural tooth so no one can tell you've had work done.

Mercury-Free

Composite resin contains no mercury or metal, making it a cleaner, more biocompatible option.

Bonded Directly to the Tooth

Composite fillings bond to your tooth structure, which means less healthy tooth material needs to be removed compared to amalgam fillings.

The Dental Filling Process at Evergreen Dental

    Examination & Diagnosis

Using digital X-rays and a thorough visual examination, we identify the extent of the decay and determine the best treatment approach. Our fully digital imaging means we can detect decay at its earliest stage — often before you've felt any symptoms.

    Anesthesia

We administer local anesthesia to completely numb the area around the affected tooth. You'll feel no pain during the procedure — just some pressure and vibration.

    Decay Removal

We carefully remove all decayed and damaged tooth material, leaving only healthy tooth structure behind.

    Filling Placement

The composite resin is placed in layers, with each layer hardened using a special curing light. We shape and sculpt the material to match the natural contours of your tooth.

    Bite Check & Polish

We check your bite to make sure the filling feels completely natural, then polish the surface for a smooth, comfortable finish. The entire process typically takes 30–60 minutes per tooth.
